01 | The Event
A run, a reset, a reminder.
Log off and line up on September 2nd for Run The Wharf, Canary Wharf's 5K challenge and after-work social set in the iconic heart of Canary Wharf.
A premium running and social event brought to you by London Marathon Events, Canary Wharf Group, and Friday Night Lights on the roads and parks of the Wharf.
After two straight sell-out editions, Run The Wharf returns for 2027 with 5,000 tickets: the biggest after-work race night London has ever seen.
A seasoned racer aiming for a personal best or just here for the networking and social, this event will deliver the most unique city run and corporate social London has ever seen.
You'll be running through the slick streets of Canary Wharf, past the glass towers, gardens and waterways, through the largest urban regeneration project in Europe.
Finish running and head to our music areas, bars, and plenty of food options, and enjoy the curated social late into the evening.
Run The Wharf is a run, a reset, and a reminder that there's more to the Wharf than work.
02 | Why Run The Wharf
Built for better team socials.
- Boosts team energy, connection and inclusivity. Healthy activities like outdoor challenges, group runs, or wellness workshops create shared, memorable experiences that naturally build trust and camaraderie, all without relying on alcohol. These events make everyone feel welcome, regardless of their drinking habits, religious beliefs, or health goals.
- Enhances physical and mental wellbeing. Swapping booze-heavy socials for active or mindful events displays to employees that their wellbeing matters. This develops to better stress management, higher energy levels, and fewer sick days, all of which contribute to a happier, more resilient team.
- Drives positive employer branding. A company known for promoting healthy, modern team-building events stands out to top talent, especially younger generations who value wellbeing, work-life balance, and progressive company culture. It signals that the business invests in its people, not just its profits.
- Encourages active team participation. Healthy social events invite teams to take part in the activity itself rather than simply being passive participants at a bar. This shared sense of purpose and achievement will help build stronger bonds and foster teamwork, leaving people feeling more connected and proud.
